Unlimited Hosting Policy
Last Updated: October 5, 2025
1. Overview
This page explains AminaHost’s definition and limitations of “Unlimited” hosting resources, including disk space, bandwidth, file transfer, and database usage. It ensures fair use while maintaining server stability and performance for all subscribers.
2. What "Unlimited" Means
Unlimited Disk Space, Bandwidth, and Website Plans mean we do not set a fixed limit on these resources for normal operation of personal or small business websites, provided usage complies with our Terms. If usage risks server stability, you may be required to upgrade to a VPS, or we may restrict your resources.
3. What "Unlimited" DOES NOT Mean
AminaHost provides shared hosting, where multiple websites share server resources. Our "Unlimited" service is not intended to support enterprise-level or non-typical applications. Automated safeguards exist to prevent excessive resource use affecting other subscribers. Subscribers exceeding normal resource usage may be required to upgrade or reduce usage.
4. Unlimited Hosting Space & SQL Usage
We do not impose strict limits on disk space, but hosting services are for website operation only. Prohibited uses include storing videos, backups, large files, torrents, IRC, testing environments, or other excessive resource consumption. Database sizes exceeding 1 GB may require reduction, and accounts may be disabled if performance is affected. Multiple databases are allowed, but each should not exceed 1 GB.
5. Unlimited File Transfer
There are no hard limits on visitor traffic or file uploads. Bandwidth overages are not charged if usage complies with our Terms. However, AminaHost reserves the right to limit CPU, bandwidth, processes, or memory to prevent impact on other subscribers.
6. Unacceptable Resource Usage
- Cron jobs running at intervals of less than 5 minutes.
- MySQL queries running longer than 30 seconds.
- Using more than 25% of system resources for over 90 seconds at a time.
- Mailbox size exceeding 5 GB per mailbox, with a combined mailbox size per domain not exceeding 50 GB.
